Our Community Slack is Now Open / May Recap

Our next online meetup is happening on June 17th, so mark your calendars.

Summer is approaching fast. Here in Japan, it's been a bit colder than last year, but I’ve already made it back into the water for surfing. Being out in nature like that makes you feel the seasons more intensely – the ocean’s definitely colder than it was this time last year.

Here’s a short update on what happened in May 👇

May Recap

🌶️ Community Growth
- Active members: 28 (↑ 211.1%)
- 1 beautiful online event with 5 participants
- Newsletter open rate: 75%

🌶️ New Feature Rollout
- Launched exclusive members-only Slack community

🌶️ Content & Engagement
- 1 new long-form video
- 3 new YouTube shorts
- 3 1-on-1 sessions with new members
- 1 new members-only post (The (Often Painful) Transition from Founder to CEO)

🌶️ What Didn’t Go As Planned
- An automated Beehiiv ↔ Hubspot agent flow experiment accidentally subscribed everyone I had email contact with after that. I had to remove them manually, but it explains that dip in the graph.
- Started outreach to neurodivergent public figures (entrepreneurs and athletes) for podcast interviews. Out of three, two responded, but one no-showed and no interviews have been conducted yet.
- Wanted to follow-up the event participants with a survey but couldn't get it done yet.

🌶️ What Made It Worth It
- What really made me happy were the very personal messages I received—especially from people I’ve never met in real life—thanking me for creating this community.
